The Conqueror Igor

For the past couple weeks, I've been drawing all kinds of madness, nonsense, chaos, and shenanigans as I work on hammering out a new way of illustrating(I'm making slow, but sure, progress).  So this week I decided to jump back on the Illustration Friday wagon for the topic of "Skull".

This was the perfect opportunity for me to draw something in my wheelhouse, to draw my characters of Gunther the Owl and the Warrior Igor, and to pay tribute to the writing of Robert E. Howard, whose "Conan" stories inspired me to create Igor in the first place.

Truth be told, Igor is not smart enough to conquer much of anything, so this illustration is more of how he sees himself.  King by his own hand, as was his forefather, Conan.

(time for a shameless plug)
