Showdown on Mars

Not much to say about this one:  It's a Space Ninja squaring off against a Space T-Rex on Mars.  Why?  Because it's fun, that's why!

Also, it's my answer to Illustration Friday's topic of "Space" for this week.

You can buy the original ink and blue line drawing right here:

I agree, that's pretty fun. And silly! Nice.

Great concept and strong use of round forms and strong, flat colours! I'm glad you went with this absolute approach - rather than backing off on the additional planets, or using colour gradients - it works, and is really engaging! Great linework as well!

Thanks a lot Ian! I appreciate your good words and taking the time to tell me what you like about it... On top of using flat colors, I used old colors from this color palette: http://boingboing.net/2011/05/24/color-palette-of-glo.html

Fun!!!Love the bold lines and the posture of the ninja is awesome! But I think this is an unfair fight, with the T-Rex's teeth all sealed up in a helmet!! :)

Thanks a lot, glad everyone's digging this one as much as me...

T-Rex's teeth may be sealed in a bubble, but he's still got the weight advantage... oh wait, there's zero gravity! Point: Ninja
